Lewis - 3 - He made a save! He made a save! It's only taken him 25 games, over which he's conceded 54 goals. Aside from the ball slipping through his fingers like a bar of soap, and appearing to have wrists made of blancmange for Bradford's second goal. Awful keeper.
Davies - 3 - Struggled defensively and with his use of the ball. Where was Ellis today?
Williams - 1 - Injured himself.
Thomas - 2 - Needless pass back to Lewis which set the first goal we conceded in motion. Hamstring snapped when he had to run. Some awful use of the football. Looks physically dubious and out of form.
Mellish - 0 - Absolute garbage. We learned under Pressley and Beech he is not intelligent or aware enough to play in a central defensive two. No idea what he was trying to do for Bradford's first goal and didn't even bother to jump to challenge for their second. Maybe he was trying to play offside, maybe he was reminiscing about Tudor Crisps and Byker Grove. Not good enough to retain his starting place, but who do we replace him with? Our squad is f*cked.
Neal - 0 - Hopeless, chronically slow. Like a 65 year old ex-pro trundling about after the ball. Embarrassing seeing him lagging behind the game. Awful, awful player. Enough is enough.
Vela - 1 - Apparently he's played at the highest level. You wouldn't think so. Maybe it's tough playing in midfield alongside Neal and with Wyke ahead of you but struggled to get into the game.
Biggins - 4 - Knows how to win a foul but looked confused positionally at times and struggled with his passing. Looks average on this performance, but still probably an improvement on the likes of Vela and Neal.
Sadi - 5 - Trying to take on six or seven players himself at times today, have every sympathy with him. Some decent use of the ball and nice feet, end product maybe lacking a little but we're crying out for his technical ability.
Jones - 6 - Some lovely crossing and precise use of the ball. Could see him getting frustrated at times as there was so little movement in front of him. Also had our best effort on goal. With some decent midfielders alongside him and some quality strikers in the box Jones would be such an asset, but in this team - he's wasted.
Wyke - 0 - Utterly pathetic. Captain Apathy. Even when the ball is placed on a plate for him he still can't score. Jogging around like he doesn't give a f*ck. Movement poor. Effort poor. Just all round crapness. Doesn't deserve to be captain and doesn't deserve a place in the team. Awful signing.
Subs:
Harper - looks a bit lightweight, but scooped in a cross for or bizarre goal.
Lavelle - Not as accomplished as Thomas, but all a bit shit.
McGeouch - Showed some nice passing and awareness, but strange he was left out of the team following Tuesday. Needs to be starting, he's faster than Neal and better on the ball than Vela.
Armstrong - Would've benefited from Jones still being on the pitch, but the brains trust on the bench subbed him. D'uh.
